City Palace – The Royal Heart of Jaipur

Located in the old walled city of Jaipur, the City Palace is a magnificent symbol of royal heritage, amazing architecture and Rajasthani culture. Built in 1727 by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II (founder of Jaipur), this magnificent palace was the seat of the throne of the Maharajas of Jaipur for centuries. Today, a part of the palace is the residence of the royal family, while the other part is open to the general public as a museum and gallery.
