Just 11 km from Jaipur, situated on the top of a hill on the banks of Maota Lake, Amber Fort is counted among the most magnificent forts of Rajasthan. This fort is a wonderful amalgamation of Rajputana splendour and Mughal art.

Built by Raja Mansingh I in 1592 AD and later expanded by Sawai Jaisingh I, this fort was once the capital of the Kachwaha kings. Today, it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is considered the most popular tourist destination in Jaipur.
