Mata Rani Bhatiyani Temple (Jasol Dham), located in Jasol village of Barmer district of Rajasthan, is dedicated to the famous Rajput warrior Rani Bhatiyani (Majisa). Her fame is spread not only in Rajasthan but also in the country and abroad. Devotees believe that Mata Rani fulfils their wishes and supports them in difficult times.
Rani Bhatiyani was born as Swaroop Kanwar in the Jogidas family of Jaisalmer. She was married to Rao Kalyan Singh of Jasol. But the death of her son Lal Singh and the subsequent self-sacrifice of the queen established her as a goddess in the faith and devotion of the local people. According to folklore, after death, Rani Bhatiyani appeared to two Manganiyar devotees and blessed them. Only after this, this temple was established in Jasol, and it became a major center of devotion.
According to the devotees, many miracles happen here. Fulfilment of wishes, healing of diseases and positive changes in life are common occurrences. The temple is a centre of special faith for the Manganiyar community and attracts devotees from Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Maharashtra and even the Sindh region of Pakistan.
